In the Web Development Basic Training course, you learned the structure of HTML, how to write simple pages, and other various guidelines for getting started. In this next six-hour module, we'll take those skills and pile on a new layer of creative control and technical ability. Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) is the 'Design' in Web Design. Knowing how to select, style, and position your content is the basis of controlling your user's experience. In this six-hour course, we will cover the basics from how the Cascade works, to typography and layout. In addition, we'll take a look at how to make your designs responsive for the mobile web and introduce some of CSS's newest tricks, including animations and transitions. Before enrolling in this class, students should have a general understanding of HTML tags, how to mark up, and how content is formatted for the web.
